Lisa Walraven, a native of Fort Sumner, has been with the organization since March 2012. She began her career as the Front Office Manager at the Clinic. As her role evolved, she took on the responsibilities of Executive Assistant, overseeing Human Resources, Credentialing and Privileging, and Administrative Operations. In July 2014, Lisa was appointed CEO.
Lisa is dedicated to the organization’s vision. She believes in improving access to primary care for everyone, regardless of their ability to pay or their life circumstances. Her commitment to this cause reflects her values and leadership. Lisa also serves on the board of New Mexico Health Resources as the President-Elect.
In her spare time, Lisa enjoys life on the family farm, spending time with her family, tending her garden, trying out new recipes in the kitchen, getting lost in a good book, and taking RV trips to the mountains.
A native to Fort Sumner, Dr. Vick has been the Clinic Medical Director since January 2009. He served as the Medical Director for De Baca County Hospital until it closed in 2001.
In 2009, the Clinic convinced him to leave the multi-physician practice in Albuquerque and return to his hometown as Medical Director of the Clinic. His laid back, personable approach to health care is the perfect fit for patients.
Susan, another Fort Sumner native, joined the Clinic Finance department as Billing Manager in 2003. Susan was promoted to CFO in the fall of 2009 when the previous CFO retired.
Susan and her husband, Jacob, have one son and live on a ranch near Melrose. She is an avid horsewoman and an active member of the WRRA (Women’s Ranch Rodeo Association). Most summer weekends will find Susan and her team traveling and competing on the WRRA Rodeo circuit.
